Clicker Writer is a literacy tool designed to support pupils of all abilities in developing their reading and writing skills.
It features:
- A child-friendly word processor for Writing Documents.
- Realistic Text-to-Speech voices.
- Context-sensitive Word Prediction.
- Dictate to Document.
- Recordable Voice Notes.
- Picturize automatically adds pictures for certain words.
- Clicker Sets for building literacy skills.
- Clicker Boards for planning and diagrams.
- Clicker Analytics can reveal powerful insights into a child's writing style.
Universal
Clicker Writer is available on iPad and Chromebook.
Document and Clicker Set files can be used interchangeably in different copies of Clicker. To learn about sharing files between devices, visit www.cricksoft.com/clicker-sharing
License the app
On first launch, Clicker Writer requests permission to see your Google account, so it can check your subscription status. If no further messages appear, you're licensed and ready to go.
Otherwise, please do one of the following:
- Register a 28-day trial.
- Enter the Organization ID and Enrollment Password codes you received after purchasing a subscription.
Alternatively, you can continue using the app with limited features:
- Basic word processing without saving.
- No Text-to-Speech.
- Only the Sample Clicker Sets can be used.
Install the app
While Clicker Writer can be used via the website, we recommend installing it for the best performance:
- Visit clickerwriter.apps.cricksoft.com in Google Chrome.
- Click the 3-dot icon in the top-right corner of Google Chrome.
- Choose Install Clicker Writer and click Install.
- For easy access, right-click the new app icon in the bottom toolbar and choose Pin to keep it there.
The app will now appear in the launcher of any Chromebook you sign into and can be used offline.
